Birdie
Birdie is a sweet 2yr old standard-sized Airedale of 46lbs. She was given to her owner's mother when he realized he could not take care of a dog. Unfortunately, Birdie decided the parents' indoor cat looked mighty tasty. The cat was rescued in time, but Birdie was kicked outside as a result. The mother feared for her safety in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky with the bitter part of winter on the way, so she reached out to an all-breed rescue that connected her with ATRA. Birdie gets along with other larger dogs, children, and adults; she does NOT like cats and probably should not be around other small companion animals such as rabbits or ferrets. She would make a lovely companion for someone who is looking for a standard Airedale.
