Meet Shadow.  His former family grew a lot in recent years and they no longer had the time to give Shadow the attention he deserved.  Also they no longer had the time to continue Shadow’s training including walking nicely on the leash without pulling.  Shadow is housebroken, likes his walks (they use a prong collar), and is very food/treat motivated.  He is crate trained (used to a wire crate), likes car rides, and is regularly groomed.  His groomer says he is wonderful.  He respects their invisible fence but did get over a 4’ fence in their previous house.  He does not bolt when he sees an open door.  Although Shadow does not live with another dog, he does enjoy doggie day care and enjoys the company of other pooches.  If Shadow sees another dog on a walk, he is calm, lots of sniffs, playful if the other dog is friendly, and shy is the other dog seems mean.  When people come to the house, Shadow hasn’t met a stranger and loves everyone although he gets a little too excited and tries tp jump on folks (he does settle down though and joins the company).  The former owner’s Mom has cats and Shadow is curious and playful with them (and small dogs).
