Argos
Argos would love a home with adults and older teenagers, as small, younger children can make him nervous. Argos is housebroken, walks well on the leash, and would enjoy a physical fenced yard. He rides very well in the car. When we brought him in, he stretched out in the back seat or sat and watched the world go by. Although Argos has never lived with another dog in his house, he gets along with other dogs and goes to doggie daycare. When he was kenneled, he stayed at a kennel with open areas where the dogs played together during the day and stayed in kennels at night. Argos is a pretty laid-back fellow for an Airedale. He loves to play but isn’t hyper, and he is not a big barker. He is always up for walks and hikes and playing ball in the yard (not real good at bringing it back though). He has been trained and knows the words eat, breakfast, dinner, and walk. He obeys commands such as sit, down, wait (before eating), leave it, come, and he comes to his name or a whistle, go, no, heel, place, touch, off, drop, and go potty. He can be a real cuddle bug and thinks he’s a lap dog (as you can see if the photo below).
Argos is a great, loving dog. He is boarding right now and the folks tell me he is a perfect guest and a happy guy. If you are interested in Argos and are an approved ATRA home, please contact Marsha Roush.
